Livelihood Assistance and Wheelchairs
PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Antipolo, Rizal – The Rizal provincial government has tied up with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in providing livelihood assistance to two associations amounting to almost Php 0.50 million under the Self-Employment Assistance Program-Kabuhayan (SEA-K).
Rizal Gov. Jun Ynares said that the provincial government has identified the two associations as BBC Association from Brgy. San Luis, Antipolo with 30 members who will receive Php 277,000, while the Kabuhayan I Association from Brgy. Mahabang Parang, Angono with 25 members will receive Php 220,000.
Each of the association members will receive livelihood assistance ranging from Php 7,000 to Php 10,000 depending on the type of livelihood project they have proposed, the provincial social welfare department said.
Meanwhile, some 10 persons with disabilities from different towns of the province is set to receive wheelchairs from Dr. Tomas Stern and Yolanda Omega-Stern and Nellie King of One World Institute. The philanthropists have offered the donations through the provincial government’s social services program.
The distribution of the livelihood assistance and wheelchairs to beneficiaries are some of the activities lined-up in the triple celebration of the 110th Araw ng Lalawigan, 113thIndependence Day and 150th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal, culminating on June 19 this year.
