Enhanced Justice on Wheels Visit Rizal





YNARES CENTER, Antipolo, Rizal – Coinciding with the celebration of the 110th Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal is the conduct of the Enhanced Justice on Wheels Project of the Supreme Court at this sprawling sports and events facility.

The Enhanced Justice on Wheels (EJOW) features among others mobile court hearings for docket and court decongestion; mobile court hearings for mobile-court annexed mediation; medical and dental mission for detainees; free legal aid by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP); information dissemination lectures on rights of the poor and marginalized; and dialogue with judges, prosecutors and local government officials on increasing access to justice by the poor.

This EJOW features a dialogue among barangay officials of Antipolo and court officials that will center on lecture-discussion on the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 (R.A. 9208), small claims cases, barangay protection order (BPO) under Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children ACT (R.A. 9262), diversion under the Juvenile Justice Act (R.A. 9344) and environmental protection and preservation. No less than the justice department secretary Renato Corona will open the sessions.

Rizal Gov. Jun Ynares cited justice officials for conducting the EJOW in the province which is significant as it coincides with the 110th Araw ng Lalawigan rites.
